Steam Powered Science– Come enjoy experiments in science, technology, engineering, art and math with Crystal Clear. The balloon challenge, balancing basics, symmetry science, and space detectives scream STEAM! Powered Fun.
May The Force Be With You– Pushes and pulls will force kids to think about how the world works and inspire them to want to learn more. Coin in the cup, spinning pennies, and perky poppers make abstract ideas everyday for kids of al ages.
Potion Commotion– This program teaches the big ideas in chemistry. States of matter, physical vs. chemical properties, and the everyday chemistry all around us.
Sounds Like Fun– A memorable lesson as kids learn how thunder is made and how it keeps them safe as well as fun activities exploring pitch and volume.
Spellbound by Science “Magic”– Disappearing water, anti-gravity cups, magic fingers and floating spheres teach kids that the difference between magic and science is that science tells you the secret behind how it works!
Incredible Insects– What does it take to be in the insect club? Kids learn about the different types of insects as well as make a balancing butterfly to take home.
Recycling Rules– How in the world do they separate all that stuff? Kids learn what many grown ups don’t know: how is science helping us recycle? Kids use magnetism to separate a mixture and see metal melt and solidy before their eyes.
Wonderful Water– Kids are surprised to learn what they don’t know about sinking and floating as they participate in an interactive group experiment. Eye-popping demonstrations in surface tension , density and more.
Fall in Love with Science – This program covers the big ideas: Why is the sky blue? Why are the leaves green – then yellow – orange –red. Why do they go down instead of up? Experiments in motion and color chemistry answer these questions in simply wonderful and memorable ways!
Weather Wonders – Sun, air, water…. And so much more. Come experience air pressure, lightning, thunder and so much more! Experiments of Bernoulli’s principle, static electricity and the water cycle will inspire the meteorologist in us all!
Science of Snow and Ice – Kids learn how cool science can be as they learn there is more than one kind of ice, explore chemistry with “instant snow” and much more!
Science and Math Connection – This program features experiments that demonstrate the math in science – such as Bed of Nails (pressure = force divided by area), Magic Diver – As pressure goes up, volume goes down. Experiments demonstrating speed and measurements also featured. Teaches kids how to conceptualize big and small numbers.
Radical Rocket Science– This program focuses on force and motion. Experiments demonstrating the laws of motion, balanced and unbalanced forces, types of energy, energy changes, rotation, revolution, and the scientific method. An eye-popping demo at the end!
Electricity 101– Current and static electricity are taught at levels learners of all ages can understand. Potential and kinetic energy and how one is changed to the other is demonstrated. Experiments include Tesla Coil, Van De Graaf Generator, AC/DC generator, Solar Demonstration, Human circuit and more. Critical lessons on safety concerning electricity are taught in a fun and memorable way. Kids leave with simple, fun ways to care for the Earth and be a good steward of our natural resources!

This event starts with an all-school assembly. Students then come to the science exploration stations with their classes for hands on science time. A large variety and number of different demos and experiments keep it fast-paced and fun with little waiting!! School volunteers will receive an orientation to familiarize them with the events at their station.
Crystal Clear controls the movement of kids through the stations to make sure all are learning, not just running around! Scavenger hunt sheet for older grades, with optional follow up questions provided. A real learning event, a real value!
